Zee Studios is diving into a whole new trajectory in the film industry. Instead of just indulging in the Bollywood industry, it is diversifying into a whole array of multilingual films. From Hindi and Marathi to Tamil, Malayalam and Gujarati. At the top of it stand Nayanthara, Sunny Deol and Nandamuri Balakrishna.
The initiative will help not only strengthen Zee as a production company but also help commercialise different genres of films.
Sunny Deol to Have Another Major Release in 2026-27
The upcoming Hindi slate of Zee Studios will include Baap,a film starring Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Mithun Chakraborty. It will be directed by Vivek Singh Chauhan. Shri Ram Bhoomiwill star Anupam Kher, Ritwik Bhowmik and Amruta Khanvilkar, with the film being directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh. Other Hindi films that are going to be released are Richa Chadha’s Delhi 2021,Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Blind Babu,and Arjun Rampal and Priyamani’s Blind Game.
In the Telugu slate, Nandamuri Balakrishna will be starring in an untitled Gopichand Malineni film; Kiran Abbavaram will star in Indraputra,as well as other upcoming films like Kanaka Durga, Anasuya General Stores,and January 12 Vidudala,which will star Venkatesh Daggubati, Keerthy Suresh and Kalyan Ram.
The Tamil slate includes Hi,starring Nayanthara and Kavin; Sathyavan Savithri,starring Keerthy Suresh and Mysskin. For the Kannada slate, films like Anna from Mexico,starring Dhananjaya, Reeshma, Nanaiah, Umashree, Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila are in the works.
The Gujarati slate includes Tom and Cherry,starring Siddharth Randeria and Dhanya Doshi. The Marathi slate has Jhep, Phulwara, Jogai,and Maan.
Speaking with Variety India,a Zee Studios spokesperson elaborated on the goals of the company, saying, “Our portfolio strategy is driven by the belief that India cannot be represented through one kind of story, one language or one cinematic lens. Every market has its own audience, talent, creative ecosystem and entertainment sensibility, and our ambition is to reflect that diversity through the films we back.”

Harshvardhan Rane is getting his own spin on genres with Silaa,also starring Sadia Khateeb and Karanveer Mehra. Zee Studios will also collaborate with Anil Kapoor Film for Paaltu.
