Splinter Cell DLC crossover added to Ghosts Of Tabor

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell was incorporated into Ghosts of Tabor through an official DLC crossover.

Combat Waffle Studios CEO Scott Albright has confirmed that Ghosts of Tabor’s latest wipe will launch on December 17th with a brief teaser showcasing the crossover at the Ruff Talk VR Gaming Showcase. A few hours after publishing this story, it was released as a premium content pack containing new Splinter Cell-themed gear.

“This collaboration is about more than dropping an iconic character into our game. Splinter Cell defined tactical gameplay for an entire generation, and we’re bringing that legacy to VR,” Albright said in a subsequent LinkedIn post.

Splinter Cell also has its own history in virtual reality, and you may remember that Ubisoft announced it and Assassin’s Creed’s VR entry at Facebook Connect in 2020. The latter was eventually released as Assassin’s Creed Nexus in 2023, but Splinter Cell VR was canceled in 2022 along with three other Ubisoft titles. At the time, CEO Yves Guillemot said Ubisoft was “adapting its organization to the current economic uncertainty through cost optimization.”

Ghosts of Tabor has seen an increase in crossovers in recent months, with an additional Halloween update scheduled for October’s Terminator: Dark Fate DLC. Last month, Combat Waffle partnered with Starbreeze for an official PAYDAY collaboration.

Ghosts of Tabor is currently available on Quest, Steam, PS VR2, and Pico.
