Ala. (WALA) – Pop culture fans across the Gulf Coast are gearing up for the return of South Alabama Comic Con, a premier two-day celebration of comic books, sci-fi, anime, gaming, and fandom culture. Hosted at the Mobile Convention Center, the annual event brings together casual fans and die-hard enthusiasts for an immersive weekend packed with interactive entertainment, vendor markets, and community activities

Attendees can look forward to an extensive lineup of celebrity, creator, and cosplay guests scheduled to appear throughout the weekend. Highlights include special Q&A panels, professional photo opportunities, and autograph sessions with voice actors and screen stars such as Spencer Grammer and Ian Cardoni (Rick and Morty), Karan Ashley (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), and Renae Jacobs (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Beyond meeting featured talent, visitors can explore a bustling floor filled with independent artists, rare collectibles, and official merchandise.

In addition to guest appearances, the convention offers a robust schedule of programming designed for fans of all ages. Eventgoers can participate in tabletop and video gaming tournaments, attend fan-led panel discussions, and join informal cosplay meetups. A centerpiece of the event is the annual Cosplay Contest, where regional cosplayers showcase their craft and compete for top honors on the main stage.
