A familiar spiritual figure is now making his way from stories and memories to the small screen. Neem Karoli Baba, whose life has long been linked to tales of mystical experiences, is set to become the subject of a new television series.
Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV announced the project on Wednesday, releasing a short promo that gives viewers a glimpse into the mysterious world surrounding the spiritual figure. The announcement comes soon after the unexpected theatrical success of ‘Hanuman Ansh’.

Neem Karoli Baba series gets a mysterious first look
The first promo keeps things deliberately vague. It does not reveal the storyline, characters or specific incidents that will feature in the series.
Instead, the teaser uses a voiceover referring to stories associated with Neem Karoli Baba. A man wearing the saint’s trademark shawl also appears in the promo, adding to the mystery around the upcoming show.
SonyLIV shared the video on Instagram with the caption, “Coming soon on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.”
For now, the makers have not announced the cast, episode format or premiere date.
The series will draw from the spiritual legacy and mystical experiences associated with Neem Karoli Baba, though details about how those stories will be presented on screen are still under wraps.
Hanuman Ansh success comes before new series
The announcement follows the surprising box-office run of ‘Hanuman Ansh’, which arrived in theatres on August 7.
Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the spiritual drama did not begin its theatrical journey with blockbuster opening numbers. However, its collections continued to rise as viewers recommended the film to others.
The film has now crossed the ₹400 crore mark worldwide despite being made on a reported budget of around ₹2 crore.
According to Sacnilk, ‘Hanuman Ansh’ crossed ₹300 crore in India nett on its 52nd day. At that point, its domestic gross stood at ₹362.70 crore, while its overseas earnings had crossed ₹38 crore.
What is Hanuman Ansh about?
‘Hanuman Ansh’ is based on Chaturvedi’s book ‘Divine Detour: That Changed My Life’. The film stars Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand in the lead roles.
Its theatrical run has now become the backdrop for Sony’s latest spiritual television announcement. However, the new Neem Karoli Baba series is a separate project, and the makers have not yet revealed whether any members of the ‘Hanuman Ansh’ team will be involved.
