Netflix K Drama Blue Road November 20 Preview

Netflix’s brand-new crime thriller, Blue Road, will be released on November 20, 2026. The series is led by Korea’s Son Suk Ku and Japan’s Eita Nagayama, an exciting partnership we can’t wait to see unfold on our screens. Here’s everything we know about BlueRoad on Netflix.

Blue Road is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original mystery thriller directed by Han Jun Hee and produced by the South Korean studio Shortcake.

The series is one of five Netflix titles that premiered at the <a href="https://about.netflix.com/en/news/netflix-at-31st-busan-international-film-festival” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>31st Busan International Film Festival. Three episodes were shown at the event.

Our assumptions were correct: Blue Road will be released on Netflix on November 20, 2026, and the streaming service has now officially confirmed it.

Netflix has provided a new synopsis for Blue Road:

International crime thriller that follows two detectives as they track a series of gruesome cross-border murders, characterized by twisted bodies and mysterious dying messages. The story begins in Tokyo, when a disfigured body is found with a blood-inked message written in Korean. Soon after, a similar case emerges in Korea, this time written in Japanese. As the pattern continues, the authorities realize they are dealing with a serial killer operating across countries, prompting a joint investigation that takes the detectives from Seoul to Tokyo and beyond.

The two lead cast members for the series are Eita Nagayama and Sukku Son.

Eita Nagayama plays Inose. The Japanese actor has yet to star in a Netflix Original series, but can be seen on Netflix in Japanese dramas such as Nodame Cantabile, Orange Days, Unnatural, and Why I Dress Up for Love. His last television appearances were in 2023 in dramas such as Don’t Use Time Travel for Love and Even If You Don’t Do It.
