Before tying the knot with Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita had once stated that she would never date a person from the acting profession.
Actress Sobhita Dhulipala has opened up about her changed perspective on relationships over the years, addressing her earlier comment that she would never date an actor. Sobhita, who is now married to Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya, said her previous perspective was built on assumptions and what she saw in everyday life.
The actress opened up about changing perspectives, adjusting to new experiences and dealing with the public glare around her personal life in a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter India. There was a previous video too of her saying the same a few years ago.
Sobhita Dhulipala Sets the Record Straight
Before tying the knot with Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita had once stated that she would never date a person from the acting profession. Reflecting on that statement, she conceded that she had been generalising on the basis of what she had seen around her.
The actress said that as people grow up and get new experiences, their opinions change. She said that her prior stance represented a limited understanding of relationships in that phase of her life.
Why are women like this ? … You can never trust their stance.

She also said that she is okay with changing her stance instead of sticking to it just for the sake of consistency. Her comments show how personal experience can challenge assumptions and change perceptions of relationships.
How Sobhita handles public attention
The actress also opened up about the pressure around her relationship and marriage with Naga Chaitanya. As a public figure, her personal life has been widely publicised, and fans and media outlets have been watching their relationship closely.
On how she handles that kind of attention, Sobhita compared society’s opinions changing to the weather. “If you always identify with what the public thinks,” she said, “and the public thinks differently, you can be unsettled.
Instead, she stressed the value of remaining anchored in one’s own identity, seeing reality for what it is, and making a conscious choice not to be defined by others’ reactions. Her perspective offers a glimpse into how she deals with the attention that comes with being a famous actor and part of a high-profile marriage.
Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot on December 4, 2024, in a traditional ceremony surrounded by family and close friends at Hyderabad’s Annapurna Studios.
Sobhita remains focused on her career
Along with her personal life, Sobhita continues to work on acting projects in different industries. She has gained recognition for her work in films and web series and has made a career in Telugu, Hindi and other language movies.
