Jack Lowden and Sir Gary Oldman are back in Slow Horses season 6. Apple TV

Slow Horses is the gift that keeps on giving. I say this for a number of reasons, aside from the obvious, which continues to put Sir Gary Oldman on my TV screen. Beyond that, Apple TV‘s spy thriller is a well-written, engaging and often funny series that gives a unique spin on the spy genre.

The Apple TV series is inspired by Mick Herron’s Slough House books, which all center around the crew of Slough House, a home for MI5’s rejects. Oldman leads the Slow Horses gang as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant, yet rude and disheveled leader of this ragtag group of antiheroes.

Jack Lowden returns alongside series regulars Kristin Scott Thomas, Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Rosalind Eleazar, Jonathan Pryce and Hugo Weaving. Oli returning to the show after a four-year absence

How to watch Slow Horses season 6

To watch Slow Horses, you’ll need a subscription to Apple TV. The service recently hiked its price by $2, bringing it to $15 per month after a seven-day free trial. Apple TV comes included in an Apple One subscription, which includes Apple Music, Apple Arcade and iCloud storage. The price hike hit Apple One as well, and the bundle now starts at $22 a month.

If you’re interested in bundles to save some dollars, you can find Apple TV bundled with Peacock for $15 per month. Comcast Xfinity customers can take advantage of the service’s StreamSaver bundle, which packages Apple TV with Netflix and Peacock.

While not a bundle, Apple TV is now available as an add-on subscription through Prime Video.

How to watch Slow Horses season 6 with a VPN

If you’re traveling abroad and want to keep up with your favorite Apple TV shows while away from home, a VPN can help enhance your privacy and security when streaming. It encrypts your traffic and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your speeds, and it can also be helpful when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks while traveling, adding an extra layer of protection for your devices and logins.

VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security. However, some streaming services may have policies restricting VPN usage to access region-specific content. If you’re considering a VPN for streaming, check the platform’s terms of service to ensure compliance.

If you choose to use a VPN, follow the provider’s installation instructions, ensuring you’re connected securely and in compliance with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access when a VPN is detected, so verifying if your streaming subscription allows VPN usage is crucial.
