We wouldn’t be too wrong if we said one of the biggest nightmares for any gamer is running out of storage and having to delete existing files to make room for newer ones. That’s frustrating, but there are ways around it. You can consider offloading files to external drives, expanding your device’s storage with an SD card, or even subscribing to a cloud storage service.
If your Nintendo Switch 2 needs a storage boost and you’re on the hunt for something that does the job without breaking the bank, the 256GB Samsung P9 Express microSDXC card is worth a look. It’s both spacious and speedy. Amazon is currently offering it for only $60, which is $20 off the usual price. Delivery is included (for both Prime and non-Prime members), which saves you even more at checkout.
Impressive speeds, plenty of storage space
This is a tiny but mighty card. It adds 256GB of extra storage to your Switch 2, so you’ll have plenty of room to download newer titles without much trouble. If you’ve been wanting to build a large library with all your favorite titles in a single place, this card makes that possible.
Performance-wise, the sequential read speeds up to 800 MB/s are almost four times faster than standard microSD cards. That means you can load games a lot faster. Plus, since the card is weather-, temperature-, magnet-, X-ray-, drop-, water-, and wear-out-proof, you won’t have to constantly worry about the safety of your data either.
Installation is easy. You only need to power your console off and lift open the adjustable kickstand on the back to locate the microSD Express card slot. Slide the card into the slot (label facing away from the console), and push it down lightly till it clicks into place. You can now power the console back on and see if it’s showing up on the System Settings > Data Management screen.
For better management, Samsung’s own Magician Software lets you keep an eye on the health of your card, install updates, and even optimize performance via a compatible computer! There’s more to like here, but to wrap it up, if you’re looking to expand the storage capacity of your Switch 2 without spending a ton, the Samsung P9 Express microSDXC card is worth a look. It usually goes for $80, but it is now available for only $60 on Amazon. Shipping is free, and the retailer is also throwing in a 90-day trial to Amazon Music for free with your purchase.
