Set after the fall of the Demon King, Romelia War Chronicle follows noblewoman Romelia after her engagement to a prince is abruptly called off. Rather than accept her fate, she forms a new army to restore order and help rebuild a kingdom left in ruins by war.
The trailer opens with Prince Henri declaring, “I am breaking off our engagement with you,” setting Romelia on a new path as she leads her knights into the uncertain future that follows humanity’s victory.
Romelia War Chronicle originated as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō under the full title Romelia Senki: Maou o Taoshita Ato mo Jinrui Yabasou Dakara Guntai Soshiki Shita. The story centres on Romelia after she is cast aside by the prince immediately following the defeat of the Demon King, leading her to establish a military force in a postwar world.
The original novel and its manga adaptation have surpassed 550,000 copies in circulation.
