If there is one thing kids love more than gaming, it is Halloween. This year, the massive gaming platform Roblox is combining both with a brand-new, platform-wide event called The Hollow.
Running right through to November 2, The Hollow brings together some of the most popular spooky games on the platform for a massive shared experience. Whether you are a parent wondering what your child is staring at on their screen, or someone who just wants to know what to expect, here is a simple breakdown of the digital event.
Surviving Nine Nights of Fright Roblox is known for its incredible variety of games, and The Hollow event gathers the best horror-themed experiences in one place. Starting from October 22, players can explore a constantly changing haunted hub.

Over nine days, gamers will be challenged to navigate creepy mazes, defeat iconic monsters, and complete daily quests. They will have to survive favourite games like 99 Nights in the Forest, DOORS, and Twisted Dandy from Dandy’s World. It all builds up to a special live Halloween finale.

The Family Zone: A Safe Space for Parents Perhaps the best news for parents is the introduction of the Family Zone. Usually, trying to understand your child’s digital world can feel a bit overwhelming. Roblox is changing that by using a game kids already love called Duck Duck.
Families can log in together, hunt for hidden ducks dressed in Halloween costumes, and have a genuinely good time. More importantly, this mode is designed to show parents exactly how Roblox’s safety features and parental controls work in real time. Rather than reading a dry instruction manual, you get to experience the controls in action. It is a low-pressure, highly visual way to understand the platform and start a healthy conversation about online safety.
Virtual Concerts and Famous Creators It would not be a massive online event without some live entertainment. Throughout The Hollow, Roblox is hosting virtual concerts featuring popular artists.

Fans can catch Ken Carson performing a major set in The Block on October 30, with extra appearances in The Mimic and Blade Ball on October 26, and Fisch on October 31. Viewers can also watch CG5 perform in +1 Speed Keyboard Escape on October 24, and Dolly Babe in Home Alone Anomalies.
If your kids enjoy watching gaming videos, they will be happy to know that popular creator champions are livestreaming their adventures daily. This includes Australian creator Bundun, along with NO DATA, LimaMosca, VanilBean, Kreative Kyle, Kim Left Arm, Kat, SirDapper, Itsjustnicholas, and KreekCraft. They will be hunting for clues and helping viewers advance the story.
Exclusive Halloween Items Of course, players want their avatars to look the part. The famous Headless Horseman item is making a return, alongside dozens of exclusive digital items and seasonal makeup looks that players can earn or buy.
Who Can Play? The Hollow is available to users with a Roblox Select account or higher, which generally means it is restricted to players aged nine and up in most regions.
It is rare to see an event that caters so well to both dedicated young gamers and cautious parents. Grab a digital costume and see what all the fuss is about!
