Reba McEntire is a grandmother again, after her son, Shelby Blackstock, welcomed a baby boy with his wife, Marissa. The couple took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the happy news of his arrival, with Shelby writing: “After everything it took to get here, we finally get to call ourselves Mom and Dad.”
“We’ve been taking these first few weeks just for us, and there’s nowhere else we’d rather be,” he continued.

The 36-year-old then shared a photo of himself holding his newborn in the hospital with a wide smile on his face. The third shot featured a clip of their son sleeping under a blue light, with the caption: “He had a rough first week, but at least he had the look down.”
Marissa revealed that they had named their baby Shelby Archer McEntire Blackstock, and had given him the nickname “Archie” to help differentiate from his father.
Shelby and Marissa’s pregnancy journey

The duo announced they were expecting back in April, after entering a second round of IVF treatments. “Oh, BOY! We’re beyond excited to FINALLY announce our little man is coming in October. See ya real soon, pal! Mommy + Daddy love you!” they wrote on social media.
Shelby and Marissa heartbreakingly lost a baby in December, and opened up about the experience in a candid Instagram post.
