Rajinikanth
One of the biggest stars of Indian cinema, Rajinikanth, has entertained audiences with his acting and sense of style for decades. At the age of 75 he still plays lead roles in films. But recently, the superstar opened up about his life before entering the film industry. He said: “I still consider myself a bus conductor and I miss those days.”
Rajinikanth spoke about his long journey in cinema at Jailer 2 event and said said the love of Tamil audiences gives him the strength to continue acting as a hero at 75.
He thanked his fans for their support throughout his career. He added that their support also encourages big production houses and talented directors to work with him.
Rajinikanth expressed his gratitude and said: “I can never repay my fans’ love completely. Passion is an important part of a person’s career. People should enjoy their work and not see it as a burden,” he said.
He compared work to a game and said that people do not get tired easily if they do what they like.

Rajinikanth also recalled legendary director K Balachander who played an important role in his acting career. “My mentor taught me to think deeply about a character after signing a film,” said the superstar.
He added that actors should prepare themselves and understand their characters even when they are not shooting. He remembered Balachander’s questioning of actors who had not understood their roles properly.
These lessons helped him in improving his acting skills, says Rajinikanth. He also talked about the power of positive thinking. He said people should think positive thoughts instead of wasting their time on negative thoughts.
The most emotional portion of Rajinikanth’s speech was when he spoke about his days as a bus conductor in Bengaluru. He was a conductor for five years before he became a famous actor.
“I still consider myself a bus conductor. I loved those years and I still miss the profession. I haven’t totally wrapped my head around the fame and the stature of being a superstar,” Rajinikanth said.
He revealed that he gets emotional every time he visits Bengaluru and sees buses or khaki uniform of conductors.
Rajinikanth said he is taken back to his early life, the days before fame changed everything.
Meanwhile, fans are waiting eagerly for Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
