The Funko Pop! Pokemon 24 Days of Surprises Countdown Calendar has 24 doors, and behind each door is a Pocket Pop! figure from the Pokemon franchise. A typical Pocket Pop! figure stands about two inches tall, giving collectors room to line them up side by side on a windowsill or down a shelf by the end of the month. It takes about thirty seconds to open one door each morning, and the calendar includes everything you need, including a box designed to be opened rather than assembled.

A 24-door countdown calendar filled with Pocket Pop! Pokémon figures
In total, you are purchasing twenty-four individual figures, and the value per figure is about $1.50 at the current sale price. Collectors buy this calendar for its overall value even if they don’t celebrate the holiday, since buying the same number of figures one at a time would cost considerably more than the calendar as a set.
These are called Pocket Pop! figures because they are slightly smaller than the standard Funko Pop!, measuring about two inches versus four. When you collect 24 figures, the size difference matters. If you collected 24 standard-sized Funko Pop! figures, they would take up nearly an entire shelf. In contrast, these will fit comfortably in a single row on top of your desk. Collectors will appreciate that the selected characters come from well-known Pokémon. Collectors will also enjoy that some figures come in special holiday-themed variants can’t be found nowhere else.
Opening one door each day for the first 24 days of December can be an exciting daily event for children and adults, and a fun way to build anticipation throughout the holiday season. It also gives families a chance to gather at the kitchen counter before starting the day. A benefit of this activity is that it requires minimal time commitment. No assembly is required, and no cleanup is needed. Since children can open the doors by themselves, they need little to no adult supervision, so if you want a small tradition, your household might enjoy this.
Since Funko is making the figures, it’s easy to add them to your current Funko Pop collection. If you already have a shelf full of them, you’ll get two dozen more that fit right in, since they all share a similar design and finish. The calendar figures are small enough that you could place them right in front of your larger ones and still see everything behind them. The product is rated for ages three and up. So, a younger brother or sister can open a door every morning right alongside everyone else.
