In case you missed it, <a href="https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/tag/sony-interactive-entertainment/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>Sony has already confirmed a PS Plus PremiumAugust 2026 game for the PS5 and PS4. Included in June’s PlayStation State of Play was the announcement that Capcom’s PS2 action RPG / hack-and-slash game Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams will join the classics lineup this month.

When will the PS Plus August 2026 game Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams join the catalog?

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is expected to join PS Plus Premium classics on Tuesday, August 18, along with the rest of the Extra/Premium catalog additions. On the same date, Sony will reveal the next batch of games set to depart the service.

As a reminder, Sony is currently testing a staggered PS Plus catalog release schedule in the US, UK, and Japan. This means these three countries will get the next batch of games on different dates from the rest of the world.

However, we should note that Premium classics tend to become available in all regions on the same date. Considering we’re only getting one classic per month, we don’t foresee Sony staggering Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams’s release either.

The full PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2026 lineup and release schedule will be announced by Wednesday, August 12. Stay tuned.
