PS Plus Essential August 2026 monthly free games have begun rolling out, starting with Japan and Asia, where it’s Tuesday, August 4. Unlike the Extra and Premium catalogs, Essential games aren’t staggered by region, so players around the globe will be able to access the lineup on the same date at noon local time, when the PS Store updates.

This month, PS Plus subscribers can claim Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition (PS5, PS4), Big Walk (PS5 – day-one launch), and Signalis (PS4).
It’s a pretty decent month for both PS5 and PS4 players, with Dying Light 2 being the highlight. Here’s what the Reloaded Edition contains:
- All previously released updates
- Bloody Ties DLC
Reloaded Edition “benefits from new visual improvements and gameplay mechanics enhanced by the 10+ previous updates,” says Techland. “Most importantly, it’s packed with content, including our first story DLC, Bloody Ties. So, you can think of Reloaded Edition as a more refined version of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, assembling all the work we have put into it over the last two year.”
This is your last chance to claim July’s monthly games if you haven’t already. The lineup includes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (PS5, PS4), For the King II (PS5, PS4), and CrossCode (PS5, PS4).
