A canvas tote, a Christmas cactus mug and a numbered collector’s pin set give Snoopy’s extended family a new job: making shelter pets more visible. The designs translate the individual personalities of Peanuts characters into everyday objects that supporters can wear, carry and display.

Peanuts and nonprofit Best Friends Animal Society are releasing an eight-piece merchandise collection on October 23, following a broader pet-adoption partnership announced in August. As detailed in PR Newswire’s October 20 announcement, the collection pairs familiar comic-strip imagery with messages about finding an adoptable companion. The objects, rather than a celebrity endorsement or a standalone public service message, carry the campaign into daily life.

In this article: Snoopy-inspired collectible designs, familiar characters across merchandise, and the adoption campaign behind the drop.

Six character pins become display pieces

The clearest collector-oriented item is a six-piece pin set showing Snoopy and his siblings Spike, Belle, Olaf, Andy and Marbles. Each pin has a Best Friends logo backer, while a custom box provides a designated place for each character. Only 500 sets are planned, individually numbered from 1 to 500, with a listed price of $70.

The collection also makes the characters recognizable in smaller household details. A $40 milk glass-style mug features Spike and Marbles around a Christmas cactus, with wraparound artwork and full-color gift packaging. Together, the pins and mug turn the idea of distinct personalities into a set of objects people can choose and keep.

    Clothing makes the message wearable

The apparel applies that same character-led visual language to different silhouettes. A $75 unisex sweatshirt places Charlie Brown and Snoopy alongside a friendship message. A $73 women’s cropped crewneck carries an adoption message, while two garment-dyed tees use illustrations of the beagle siblings and their familiar doghouse.

A $60 canvas tote has contrasting orange straps and base, embroidered artwork and an exterior pocket. Its practical construction gives the campaign a visible presence beyond a single event. A washed-cotton grey hat rounds out the assortment at $35, using character embroidery on the front and a friendship message on the back.

The drop extends a shelter adoption partnership

The products go on sale at noon Eastern Time on October 23 through Best Friends Animal Society’s online store, while supplies last. Their prices range from $35 to $75, with the individually numbered pin set providing a specific scarcity mechanic rather than a vague limited-edition claim.

This is one component of an existing partnership built around shelter pets having distinct personalities, much like Snoopy and his siblings. The organizations have also supported the theme with public service messaging and events. In the merchandise collection, recognizable artwork creates a more tangible route into that larger adoption effort.

What marketers can learn from Snoopy’s collectibles

The strongest design move is turning a broad message into a choice among specific characters and formats. The collectible pins reward character recognition, the mug works as a small gift, and the tote and sweatshirts allow the campaign idea to travel into everyday settings. Each product remains distinct without losing the shared adoption narrative.

For partnerships involving licensed characters and social causes, that matters because familiar visual identities can make an abstract message more accessible. A product drop can provide a concrete touchpoint for an ongoing program without pretending merchandise sales alone prove behavior change. The announcement details the assortment and launch, but does not report sales, conversion or adoption outcomes from this collection.
