What Is Peacock’s Crystal Lake Series About?
A prequel to the iconic Friday the 13th franchise, Crystal Lake heads back to the beginning of the story surrounding one of horror’s most infamous families.
The series follows Pam Voorhees, a single mother who is still struggling with the devastating loss of her young, sickly son, Jason, who tragically drowned in the town lake nearly a year earlier.
Pam’s grief takes a disturbing turn when two strangers arrive at her doorstep and begin digging into her past. Their questions set off a chilling chain of events, leaving the residents of Crystal Lake asking one terrifying question:
Just who is Pam Voorhees?
The series comes from creator, writer and showrunner Brad Caleb Kane, whose previous credits include It: Welcome to Derry, Tokyo Vice and Warrior.
