Paul Scheer appeared on the latest Kawhi Leonard-focused episode of “Pablo Torre Finds Out” which was posted on Tuesday morning. Scheer invited host Pablo Torre to his home in Los Angeles to talk about the effects the Aspiration saga has had on actual Los Angeles Clippers fans like himself.
They also shared a laugh about <a href="https://www.thebiglead.com/bill-simmons-sends-scathing-letter-to-clippers-asking-out-of-season-tickets/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>Bill Simmons writing a scathing letter to the Clippers asking to be let out of his season tickets, as previously covered by this very website, which you’ll see mentioned at the 10:45 mark of the video below.
The “How Did This Get Made?” host immediately establishes his Sports Guy listener credentials by pointing out that Simmons actually writing something is a big deal. Before moving on he notes how ridiculous it is for the Celtics fan to give up his Clippers tickets.

“And at the end of this, what we’ve been seeing for the last two weeks, you know, since the report has come out, has been everyone dining out on the Clippers. Bill Simmons picks up a pen again! And writes for the first time,” Scheer said, referring to the letter.
“First of all,” Scheer continued. “Let me just say this. Bill Simmons not a Clippers fan. So, him giving up Clipper fandom is such bullsh– to me. I love Bill Simmons. I’m glad he wrote because he felt lied to by the Clippers organization…”

They then listened to a clip from the original Simmons podcast before moving on to the Clippers denying everything for so long.
To Simmons’ credit, he’s upfront about not having the tickets to see the Clippers. Trying to get out of the Clippers tickets is kind of taking a stand out of principle, but he also acknowledge that no one should feel sorry for him.
The important thing is that his original letter made for some fun content. And the reaction to it here is also entertaining. Unfortunately, for Scheer, the butt of the joke at the center of all this remains his hapless Clippers.
