During San Diego Comic-Con 2026, attendees were treated to the first reveal of Pacific Rim: Final Breach – Volume Two, the next installment in Legendary’s officially licensed comic book continuation of the film franchise.
Announced during the convention and relayed by our friends at KaijuUnited, Final Breach is planned as a three-volume series that serves as an official continuation of the Pacific Rim movie saga, picking up the story following the events of the films and exploring humanity’s ongoing battle against the Kaiju threat.

Volume Two reunites writer Stephanie Williams with acclaimed artist EJ Su, whose detailed mechanical artwork has become a favorite among fans of giant robots and kaiju. The newly revealed cover artwork is illustrated by Sergio Grisanti.
According to the presentation, Pacific Rim: Final Breach – Volume Two is currently scheduled to arrive in Q2 2027, continuing the story across what has been described as a three-volume saga.
Although additional plot details remain under wraps, the announcement is welcome news for Pacific Rim fans eager for new stories within Legendary’s universe. With a live-action Pacific Rim television series also in development, and a fresh line of Funko POP figures having also been revealed recently, the franchise appears to be gaining fresh momentum across multiple mediums.
