Who is Oswald?
Oswald was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1927 for Universal Pictures and became a pivotal character in Disney history. However, Disney always lamented the loss of Oswald.
The Walt Disney Company eventually reacquired the rights to Oswald in 2006, nearly eight decades after losing the character. The original 1927 version of Oswald entered the public domain in 2023.
