Big news on the Grand Line! Four years after ‘One Piece Film: Red’, and on the eve of the 30th anniversary of Eiichiro Oda’s manga, two more movies based on his universe have just been announced. The first will arrive in 2027 and will be titled ‘One Piece Film: God Valley.’ The second, scheduled for 2029, is known as ‘One Piece Film: Baad.’

With the film set to arrive next year, ‘One Piece’ aims to follow in the footsteps of ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle’ and adapt the entire God Valley arc into a movie that I imagine will be a cinematic event no fan will want to miss. And this isn’t the anime’s first initiative of this kind; it had already stopped airing weekly in favor of a seasonal format.

What is the God Valley Incident?

The title of the first movie leaves no room for doubt. It will bring the God Valley Incident—one of the manga’s most recent (and most acclaimed) flashbacks—to the big screen. It recounts the clash between the pirates of Rocks D. Xebec (whose crew included legends such as Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom) and the alliance between the crew of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, and Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp, hero of the Marines and Luffy’s grandfather. A pivotal moment in the history of *One Piece*, filled with spectacular battles.

The most ridiculous ‘One Piece’ theory is starting to gain traction amid collective delusion

As for the second movie, ‘One Piece: Film Baad,’ there are more questions about what it covers, but given the way the letter “D” is written in its title, could this be the moment when Oda reveals to the world what it means? Will that movie and 2029 be the time and place when one of the great mysteries of ‘One Piece’ is finally solved? For now, we’ll leave you with the first, spectacular, and fleeting trailer for both films.

‘Clayface: Celebrity Dirt’ #1 is one of the coolest debuts of the year

    By JamesJuly 8, 20260

Clayface has always been a favorite of mine when it comes to the Batman’s rogues gallery. That largely comes from the stellar two parter “Feet of Clay” from Batman: The Animated Series, a series of episodes that condensed the long and convoluted story of Clayface into a singular and tragic narrative
