WORLD TOP 100 Poll Reaches its Finale
A centerpiece of this year’s event is the second WORLD TOP 100 Character Popularity Poll result announcement. The popularity poll kicked off in March, coinciding with One Piecemanga surpassing the milestone of 600M circulated copies worldwide.
Fans around the globe voted among 1,567 characters from Eiichiro Oda’s long-running manga for the Popularity Poll. Ranks 100 through 31 will be revealed on August 22, and the top 30 will be announced on August 23, as per the official schedule.
Fans can also track predictions through the WORLD TOP 100 The King of Guesses campaign on the ONE PIECE BASE app, which offers digital rewards for accurately forecasting the final rankings before voting closes. Midterm Character Popularity Poll results released in May had One Piece’s protagonist Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, and Sanji in the top three spots.

One Piece Elbaph Arc Voice Cast Panel and Closing Concert
The Elbaph Arc Voice Actor Special Stage on Aug 23 will reunite much of the TV anime’s principal cast, including the cast voicing new Elbaph characters. Starting from Straw Hat Pirates’ voice actors, including Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy), Akemi Okamura (Nami), Kazuya Nakai (Zoro), to Kenjiro Tsuda (Shamrock), Masaya Takatsuka (Goldberg), and Ayane Sakura (Gerz), will attend the panel.
Following the voice cast panel, One Piece Day ’26 will come to an end with a live performance from 5:15 to 6:30 pm JST featuring One Piece track performers. The concert will start with AiNA THE END, the performer of the ongoing Elbaph Arc opening theme song.
The stage will then bring this arc’s ending song artist, rock band Jisoku 36km (36km/h). Longtime anime theme singers Hiroshi Kitadani and Maki Otsuki will also join, highlighting One Piece’s both current and legacy anime music.
Card Game Panel and the Kaido Crossover Card
A One Piece Card Game Special Panel runs from 12:40 to 1:25 pm JST on August 23. Popular Japanese YouTuber Owa D. Takashi and Shohei Taguchi, a former TV Tokyo announcer, will headline the panel.
Organizers recently confirmed a new Kaido card illustrated by acclaimed manga creator Keisuke Itagaki, best known for Baki, adding another high-profile crossover to Bandai’s One Piece trading card lineup.
One Piece Day ‘26 will also include the Knowledge King competition on Day 2. Beyond the stage shows, visitors can explore exhibition zones, merchandise areas, game demonstrations, and interactive fan activities throughout the venue.
One Piece Day dates back to 2017, when the Japan Anniversary Association designated July 22 as the official date honoring the manga’s 1997 debut in Weekly Shonen Jump. The celebration has grown from a single press conference into a multi-day global broadcast. This year’s calendar also includes a separate One Piece Fest in Los Angeles for the first time, scheduled on August 25-26, reflecting Toei’s plan to expand its overseas footprint.
The celebration arrives as One Piece enters a heavier release period. Netflix’s live-action series has wrapped filming season 3, targeted for 2027, while WIT Studio’s remake premieres in February 2027. Netflix will also release a two-part LEGO One Piecespecial on Sep 29, beyond the ongoing Elbaph Arc in the mainline TV anime.
