Meanwhile, Slow Horses recently won the Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series on Monday. Saul Metzstein took home the coveted statuette for directing the episode “Scars.”

Slow Horses’ upcoming six-episode Season 8 will adapt Clown Town, the ninth novel in Mick Herron’s “Slough House” book series. Academy Award winner Sir Gary Oldman will return as MI5 veteran Jackson Lamb.
According to the official logline quote, “Season eight sees Jackson Lamb and Diana Taverner face off in their most explosive confrontation yet. When a botched attempt to blackmail the Park puts Taverner on the offensive, it is up to Lamb to unravel one of MI5’s darkest secrets and put an end to it once and for all.”
In a recent statement, Jay Hunt, the creative director of international at Apple TV, said, “Slow Horses continues to charm audiences all around the world, and I’m delighted that Jackson Lamb and his gang of lovable misfits will be back for an eighth season. Their acerbic take on the high-octane world of espionage is completely unique.”
Besides Oldman, the cast of Slow Horses features Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, and Christopher Chung, among others.
For now, fans are looking forward to Slow Horses Season 6, which premieres on September 16. The remaining five episodes will be released weekly, every Wednesday.
