NIKKOR Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S len
Nikon India has launched the NIKKOR Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S, a professional telephoto zoom lens designed for full-frame Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. The lens combines a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture with a built-in 1.4x teleconverter, allowing photographers to extend the focal length to 420mm without changing lenses.
Nikon claims the NIKKOR Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S is the world’s first interchangeable zoom lens to combine a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture with a built-in 1.4x teleconverter. The lens is part of the company’s S-Line range and is designed for wildlife, sports and action photography.
The lens will be available across India from mid-November 2026 at a maximum retail price of Rs 14,99,995.
Nikon NIKKOR Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S: Features
The NIKKOR Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S features Nikon’s Silky Swift VCM autofocus drive system, which is designed to deliver fast, precise and smooth autofocus when tracking moving subjects. The system supports photography involving birds in flight, wildlife, athletes, vehicles and performers.
For optical performance, the lens features Nikon’s Meso Amorphous Coat and ARNEO Coat technologies to reduce reflections, ghosting and flare. Nikon says the Meso Amorphous Coat delivers its best anti-reflection performance ever.
The lens also offers vibration reduction of up to 6.5 stops at the centre and edges of the frame when paired with a compatible camera supporting Synchro VR.
Despite its built-in teleconverter, the lens weighs approximately 2,735g. Nikon says it is around 515g lighter than the AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR released in 2020.
The lens features internal focusing and internal zoom mechanisms, keeping its overall length unchanged during focusing and zooming. It also supports Arca-Swiss screw-type quick-release tripod clamps and front screw-on and rear slip-in filters.
Nikon has used magnesium-alloy construction and sealing to provide dust- and drip-resistant performance for outdoor photography.
