Exciting news has surfaced for DC collectors as official preview images hit the web, showcasing Medicom Toy’s latest additions to their acclaimed 1/12 scale lineup. The new reveals focus heavily on one of the most celebrated storylines in comic book history: The Death of Superman. Action figure fans have been eagerly awaiting high-end, highly articulated representations of this tragic, action-packed 1990s crossover event, and Medicom Toy is delivering in a major way with their upcoming MAFEX Death of Superman Doomsday and battle-damaged Superman figures.

    A Massive Take on Doomsday

The centerpiece of these newly surfaced images is undoubtedly the imposing dynamic preview of Doomsday. True to Dan Jurgens’ original iconic artwork, this figure captures the terrifying ultimate monster in all his jagged glory. The promotional images reveal intricate texturing across his gray skin, jagged bone protruding from his knees, shoulders, and knuckles, and his signature razor-sharp bone growths framing his facial sculpt.

Fans had previously wondered whether Medicom would opt for his early covered outfit or his fully unleashed, monstrous state. The preview confirms a classic, late-battle appearance featuring shredded green boots and containment suit remnants wrapped around his waist and legs. The sculpt effortlessly balances immense girth and scale with the sleek, dynamic articulation that the MAFEX line is celebrated for worldwide.

    Battle-Damaged Superman Captures Comic History

Accompanying the monstrous behemoth is a brand-new iteration of the Man of Steel himself. Rather than a standard classic release, Medicom Toy is giving fans a fully battle-damaged Superman designed specifically to display alongside Doomsday.

The surfaced preview images highlight dramatic suit tear details across Clark Kent’s chest and arms, subtle blood-brushed paint applications, and multiple intense head sculpts detailing the exhaustion and grit of the hero’s final stand. Fans can also spot crucial display accessories in the preview shots, including swappable expressional hands, dynamic cape options, and potentially iconic set pieces designed to recreate the famous Metropolis street fight.

Expanding the MAFEX DC Comics Universe

Medicom Toy has built an incredible reputation within the collecting community by expanding themed sub-lines rather than releasing isolated figures.

These figure reveals prove that Medicom is committed to delivering definitive comic-accurate action figures with premium articulation, cloth elements, and unmatched paint applications. Pre-orders are expected to open shortly across global Japanese import retailers and major US specialty toy distributors. Stay tuned for further updates on official release dates, accessory listings, and pricing as Medicom Toy officially opens solicitations!
