Netflix is turning a fan-beloved TV show into a new movie to add to its never-ending adventures. Along with this, the streaming giant has also announced even more spin-offs and renewals.
According to the latest reports, Netflix is currently developing a Sesame Street film with Rideback and Sesame Workshop. It will bring even more of the neighborhood to the streamer, sending Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and friends on their biggest adventures yet.
Adding to this, Netflix is also expanding the world of Gabby’s Dollhouse through Doozie’s Doghouse, a mixed-media companion series premiering November 9, and Gabby’s Dollhouse: Makers and Bakers, which will debut with four holiday-themed episodes on December 9.
Meanwhile, Puppy Pirates is getting a brand-new crew of four heroic hounds, while Bad Dinosaurs has been renewed for seasons 2 and 3, with eight episodes each.
Netflix expands beyond series orders with games, collections and new viewing experiences
Netflix is also expanding beyond series orders to include games, collections, and new viewing experiences. For one, the streamer’s playground library has earned three new games: Trash Truck, Numberblocks: Hide and Seek, and KPop Demon Hunters: Ready, Set Shine.
Netflix has also launched a low-stimulation collection to make it easier for parents to find shows and movies with slower pacing, softer visuals, and simple, predictable stories for little kids. Two new platform playlists, the All-Star Preschool Playlist and the Ultimate Kids Playlist, are now available, making it easier for kids and families to find their next favorite watch.
Furthermore, a new episode of the award-winning podcast Bedtime Stories with Netflix Jr. was released today and is available on the Netflix app. This one features a new story from The Creature Cases to help the young viewers relax and drift off to sleep.

Whether that’s spending more time with Gabby and her adorable sister Doozie, meeting the crew of Puppy Pirates for the first time, or growing up alongside more Sesame Street, we’re building a place parents can feel good about,” Heather Tilert, Vice President, Animation Series, Kids + Preschool, explained about the decision.
