She’s joined by her assistant Park Seol (Kim Dan), whose innocent looks hide a secret, and her long-time friend and prosecutor Yoo A-ram (Jung Gun-joo), as the three come to confront long-hidden truths and emotions.
When Ma Teresa is asked to consult on high-profile cold-case murder investigations, her assistant, Park Seol, is eager to help, craving her attention. Meanwhile, Yoo A-ram is wary of Park Seol lingering by Teresa’s side. As Ma Teresa interrogates criminals to uncover clues and comes closer to the long-desired truth, she finds herself swept up in unexpected emotions.
Materesa(WT) is directed by Jang Young-woo (Queen of Tears,Bulgasal: Immortal Souls) and written by Kwon So-ra and Seo Jea-won (The East Palace). Together, they weave a thriller around cold murder cases with subtle and intensifying emotions between the characters.
NANA (Mask Girl,Glitch) takes on the role of Ma Teresa, bringing both her character’s hardened exterior and her complex inner turmoil to life as she investigates cold-case murders while carrying old trauma. Rising star Kim Dan (The Winning Try) plays her assistant, Park Seol, whose easy smile hides a secret and an unpredictable edge. Jung Gun-joo (Mercy for None) stars as prosecutor Yoo A-ram, Ma Teresa’s long-time friend, bringing quiet depth to the tangled relationships at the story’s center.
