The trailer of Nayanthara-starrer mythological fantasy film Mookuthi Amman 2 was unveiled on Wednesday, offering a glimpse into a world of divine powers, supernatural forces and a battle between good and evil.

The story takes an unexpected turn when a frightened police constable finds herself caught up in events far beyond her understanding. What initially seems like an ordinary situation soon draws her into a larger conflict involving divine powers and supernatural forces.

Nayanthara plays two contrasting roles as police personnel and the goddess Mookuthi Amman in the trailer. It offers glimpses of larger-than-life visuals, mythology, and menacing villains along with the devotion, grandeur, and entertainment quotient of a commercial fantasy film.
Actress Regina Cassandra is seen essaying the role of the antagonist. Apart from her, there are three more characters portrayed, though the trailer leaves the viewers guessing about their entry and impact on the narrative.
The promotional content unveiled ahead of its release, Rise of Mahashakti, had already introduced the viewers to the film’s scale, spectacle, and mythological moorings. The trailer promises to deliver a fantasy extravaganza of gods and demons, with the goddess showcasing her powers to destroy evil.
Sundar C has directed the sequel, which follows the 2020 film Mookuthi Amman, directed by RJ Balaji. The original film featured Nayanthara as the titular goddess and combined mythology with contemporary social themes.
Apart from Nayanthara and Regina Cassandra, the sequel features Duniya Vijay, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, Abhinaya, Myna Nandini and Singampuli in key roles.
The film is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International, with Khushbu Sundar and Vignesh Shivan also associated with the production.
Mookuthi Amman 2 is set to release in theatres on November 6, 2026.
