A long time ago, in a town not so far away…

Saturday, October 24 sees the return of Monaghan Comic Con with a gathering of heroes, Jedi, Sith, super heroes and fans from across the galaxy set to land at the Peace Campus in Monaghan Town.

Star Wars, Wednesday and Father Ted fans are in for a treat, with an exciting line-up of special guests. Among them is Ross Beadman, who played the infamous Jedi Youngling in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith; alongside Emily Ring, who plays Young Wednesday in Netflix’s series Wednesday. Joining them is Sabrina Boukless, who plays a vampire student in the same hit series; while Father Ted fans can look forward to meeting Patrick McDonnell, known for his role as Eoin McLove and the legendary jumper and cake incident!

Fan favourites The Bounty Bros are also set to return, while visitors can also dive into a packed programme of other activities, from comic creation workshops, to a Japanese Experience and live talks.

Aspiring artists will have the chance to sharpen their skills at a sketch workshop with PJ Holden, the acclaimed Judge Dredd artist, while Matthew Smyth will take audiences behind the scenes of his career in special effects, including work on movies such as Honour Among Thieves.

Collectors and pop culture enthusiasts will have plenty to explore too, with vendors offering everything from retro toys to Pokémon cards.

The Force is strong with this one, and admission is free!
