Meghan, Duchess of Sussex could be making a big return to acting.
Meghan is in talks to possibly join the third season of Guy Ritchie’s “The Gentlemen,” which shoots in the UK, a person familiar with ongoing discussions tells CNN.
While discussions are ongoing, no deal is in place. “The Gentlemen,” which stars English actor Theo James, has not yet officially been renewed for a third season. The second season debuts on Netflix next month.
CNN reached out to multiple representatives for the former Tig founder and her Archewell Productions, in addition to a representative for Ritchie. Netflix declined to comment.
Deadline, which was first to report the news of Meghan being offered a part in “The Gentlemen,” cautioned that “the conversations are hypothetical at this point” and noted that “no role has been identified so far.” Australian news outlet news.com.au earlier suggested an undisclosed role in an upcoming project could be one of the reasons behind the Sussex family’s surprise decision to move back to Britain by the end of this month.

Meghan’s return to acting would be almost as much of a surprise as her family’s move back to the UK.
She put her acting career on hold in 2018 after getting engaged to Harry, while she was starring as Rachel Zane, the hardworking paralegal-turned-attorney on the USA legal drama “Suits.” Then known as Meghan Markle, she said at the time that she was ready to move on the from the show, describing the decision as “a new chapter” and that she wasn’t “giving anything up.”
“I just see it as a change,” she said. “We’re very, very fortunate to be able to have that longevity on a series.” She added, “And for me, once we hit the 100-episode marker I thought, ‘You know what? I’ve ticked this box’ and I feel very proud of the work I did there.”
The series gained renewed popularity in 2023 when the show hit Netflix, the resurgence of which Meghan described as “wild.”
Prior to “Suits,” Meghan appeared in guest roles on shows including “CSI: NY,” “Fringe” and “Castle.” She also appeared in films like “Horrible Bosses” and “Remember Me.”
In the past few years, Meghan has spent time in front of the camera in her namesake Netflix series “With Love, Meghan,” which debuted in 2025 and chronicled her “at home” entertaining tips and recipes. The series ran for two seasons.
She has since been tiptoeing back into the Hollywood scene.
In November, it was reported that Meghan would have a small cameo as herself in the MGM Amazon comedy “Close Personal Friends” starring Jack Quaid and Brie Larson, the release date of which has yet to be announced.

The road to Harry and Meghan’s shock return to the UK has been fraught.
The couple has been living in the posh coastal neighborhood of Montecito since 2020 after they stepped back from royal life amid the unraveling of Harry’s relationship with the royal family just two years after they got married.
They worked to launch a media empire starting with their production company Archewell Productions, landinga major multi-year production deal with Netflix producers for exclusive films, docuseries, features and children’s programming.
The same year, Meghan launched her debut podcast “Archetypes” with Spotify, who she has since left. She is now partnered with Lemonada media as part of a new podcast deal announcedin 2024.
Meghan has continued to focus on her lifestyle brand As Ever, selling jarred jams, tea sets and candles.
Upon their return to the UK, the Sussex family are set to live in a private residence outside of London. Their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are already enrolled at British schools, which are due to start the new year in September.
