Following close on the heels of the earlier Mattel DC Premier Series 3 announcements, which brought us New 52 Nightwing, Deathstroke, and two Batman figures, as well as the Mattel DC Premier Series 4 “Cyber Chaos” main wave teaser featuring Superman, Mattel has unveiled another high-tech addition to the line: the Mattel Cyber Glider and Nightwing vehicle and figure set.
Shown on stage during Mattel’s SDCC panel (thanks to ToyNewsI), this presentation slide gives fans an early look at work-in-progress (WIP) concept art and schematics for a vehicle pack set to expand the “Cyber Chaos” sub-theme in the popular 6.5-inch figure scale.
Expanding the ‘Cyber Chaos’ Sub-Theme
The “Cyber Chaos” branding is turning out to be a major narrative push for Mattel’s DC action figure offerings. While Series 4 introduces cybernetically enhanced hero designs and mysterious robotic entities, this new vehicle set proves that the line is expanding beyond standalone action figures to include dedicated vehicles and mid-tier deluxe sets.
The Mattel Cyber Glider and Nightwing set includes both a newly styled 6.5-inch Nightwing figure and a high-tech aerial glider craft custom-designed for Dick Grayson.

1. The 6.5-Inch Nightwing Figure
Unlike the red-and-black suit featured in the Mattel DC Premier Series 3 New 52 release, this new figure returns to Nightwing’s iconic blue-and-black color scheme. The concept art shows a 6.5-inch scale figure equipped with blue armor plating across the chest, gauntlets, and boots, giving Dick Grayson a heavily tech-infused look tailored specifically to operate high-speed aerial gear.
2. The Cyber Glider Craft
The main draw of the box set is the Cyber Glider itself. The top-view schematics show an aerodynamic, forward-swept wing configuration sporting bold blue accents over a dark grey and silver fuselage. Key design features shown in the presentation include:
