You odyssey how Matt Damon rang in his daughter Gia‘s 18th birthday.
The Oscar winner and his wife Luciana Barroso Damon brought their entire brood—including kids Alexia, 27, Isabella, 20, and Stella, 15—to Disneyland to mark the special milestone.
And like many families vacationing at the Happiest Place on Earth, the couple matched with their daughters in custom Disney-themed T-shirts reading “Birthday Crew,” while Gia donned a special tee featuring Minnie Mouse ears that read “Birthday Girl.”
Sporting baseball caps and sunglasses, the group was all smiles as they checked out the new Halloween Time decorations in the theme park’s Main Street, U.S.A.
And the magical trip was a well-deserved break for Damon, who had largely spent the last month journeying across the globe to promote The Odyssey. Luckily, he was accompanied by family at some of the events.
“It’s great because they had to sacrifice a lot, too, for this,” he told People at the Christopher Nolanepic’s July 7 premiere. “I went away for a while, they came and visited, but it was a lot. It was a very long movie, very grueling shoot.”

Especially since his oldest now also has a busy schedule due to her workas a cinematographer.
“She’s done about 12 movies,” Damon raved to E! News last month “[She’s] worked on the camera team all over the world.”
So, does that mean his younger girls are planning to follow his footsteps into the film industry? “The other three might,” the 55-year-oldshared. “I have one who’s at NYU now, who’s a fantastic writer, so I could see her following me into screenwriting. And we have two still in high school, so we’ll see.”

Damon is a pretty relaxed dad when it comes to his daughters’ dating life as well. As he told E! in a separate interview in July, “I’m pretty kind.”
But while his kids have “very wonderful tastes” in partners, the Jason Bourne alum noted that he will wage war if needed. In fact, he has the same approach as Sean Penn, who once made a veiled threat to his daughter Dylan Penn‘s childhood boyfriend before their date.
“My favorite line that I’ve ever seen was Sean Penn’s,” Damon quipped, before quoting the One Battle After Another star’s 2015 interview on The Graham Norton Show, “‘Whatever you do to her, I’m gonna do to you when you get home.'”
