Paige Bueckers and Natasha Cloud at WNBA All-Star Weekend

WNBA players spend countless hours perfecting their game, watching film, practicing their skills and traveling from city to city. But once the final buzzer sounds, they’re just like the rest of us — falling down TikTok rabbit holes, binge-watching comfort TV and developing oddly specific hyperfixations.

At WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, Yahoo asked 16 players one simple question: “What’s something you’re obsessed with right now, for no good reason?” Some answers were exactly what you’d expected (matcha, video games and beauty products). Others were a little more surprising, including an impressive laundry procrastination strategy and a passionate endorsement of anime.

Here’s what these ballers can’t get enough of right now.

    A manga series

“Literally Hunter x Hunter, and I’m watching it for the second time. I’m on a binge again, I love it. I have so much time. After practice, we just sit around.”

    — Courtney Williams, Minnesota Lynx guard

Matcha, just like the rest of us

“Matcha. You think I’m playing? I love matcha. I’d take matcha with me [on a deserted island].”

    — Kiki Iriafen, Washington Mystics forward

    Avoiding laundry

“Not doing laundry. …I end up doing it eventually. But I’ve got 2 laundry baskets, so one can fill up, and then two can fill up. Then I’m like, ‘Alright I’ve gotta do it now.'”

    — Paige Bueckers, Dallas Wings guard

    Puppies and TikTok stims

“My dogs. …Oh, I have certain TikTok stims too, that’s like, ‘Shh, quiet on the creek.’ It’s just been going crazy.”

    — Natasha Cloud, Chicago Sky guard

    The Oura Ring

“My Oura Ring. I’ve been using it for years.”

    — Angela Dugalic, Washington Mystics forward

    Trending squishes

“I love my watches, but maybe acai bowls. No, NeeDohs! And NeeDoh, come sponsor me. Thank you.”

    — Jessica Shepard, Dallas Wings forward

    Being a plant mom

“Plants. I love plants. Just having an obsession right now.”

    A luscious lip

    — Marina Mabrey, Toronto Tempo guard

    Meredith Grey

“Grey’s Anatomy. Obsessed. What else is there to do? I’m trying to chill.”

    — Kahleah Copper, Phoenix Mercury forward and guard

    Dessert

“Pizookies. A cookie skillet and ice cream.”

    — Rickea Jackson, Chicago Sky forward

“I feel like I’m always obsessed with everything. Probably Lil Baby’s song ‘Dead Fresh.’ I’m obsessed with that song right now.”

    — Rae Burrell, Los Angeles Sparks forward and guard

    The Ultimatum

“I’m finishing The Ultimatumright now. And I’m kind of nervous. I don’t think any of them are gonna get married. They really shouldn’t, but we’ll see when we get there.”

    — Aliyah Boston, Indiana Fever center and forward

    Gaming

“I’m playing a video game called Sifu, and I’m obsessed with it right now.”

    — Jonquel Jones, New York Liberty center

    Making healthy stuff taste good

“Cooking, always. I love to cook. I like to make healthy things taste good. Nothing specific.”

    — Kathryn Westbeld, Phoenix Mercury forward

    TLC Reality TV

    — Gabby Williams, Golden State Valkyries forward

    Popcorn

    — Sonia Citron, Washington Mystics guard
