Patrick Stump and Este Haim voice Jack O’Lantern and Hallows Eve in the upcoming Halloween special, ‘Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up!’ premiering September 24 on Disney Jr.; the preschool hit is now ordered through 2028.
Team Spidey is booked through 2028. Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends, the 3D animated preschool series built around Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy, has been greenlit for a seventh season on Disney Jr. and Disney+.
Disney paired the pickup with a first look at Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up!, and with the news that Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy and Este Haim of HAIM will voice the villains Jack O’Lantern and Hallows Eve. The special premieres Thursday, September 24 on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. on Demand, streaming the next day on Disney+.
Stump is the series’ composer and songwriter, and he wrote two new songs for the special, including “Hallows’ Eve Theme.” Walt Disney Records released both to digital platforms this past Sunday.
Alyssa Sapire, head of Disney Jr. original programming and strategy, announced the renewal during the “Celebrate 65 Years of Marvel’s Spider-Man!” panel at D23. Season 5 arrived in the U.S. and select international markets last month and is off to the strongest start of any new season since the first by hours viewed on Disney+, Disney said; Season 6 follows in 2027, with Season 7 in 2028.
The studio puts the show at nearly 1.3 billion hours streamed on Disney+ worldwide, noting its most-watched Marvel TV series on the platform and the longest-running Spider-Man series of any kind. It was also the third best-selling preschool toy license of last year, per Circana.
Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios produce in association with Atomic Cartoons. Harrison Wilcox, Bart Jennett and Chris Moreno executive produce, with Becca Topol co-executive producing and story editing; Steve Grover supervises.
