What is Zodiac? That was the major question that emerged when Marvel Studios greenlit a new spy-thriller TV series in late September.
Various characters and one villainous organization from the pages Marvel Comics have used the name Zodiac, but it was unclear which pertained to this show. We now have some answers.
Marvel shed new light on the project during a panel at New York Comic Con on Thursday.
Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, Animation, and comics, says the show will start shooting in London this spring. Casting will begin in a couple weeks ahead of a premiere on Disney+ in 2028.
Confirming it’s a spy-thriller, Winderbaum revealed a new logo. “If you’re a fan of the comics, there’s a lot hidden in that logo,” he told the crowd. “That’s all you’re getting. It’s supposed to be a secret.”
Zodiac is the first new Marvel Television project announced since the studio division canceled the previously renewedWonder Man and also axed Daredevil: Born Again. (The latter will formally end with the upcoming third season.)
VisionQuest, the concluding series in theWandaVisiontrilogy, will be next to release on Oct. 14. Then there’s the animated Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2, which premieres in January.

X-Men ’97 will also return for a third season. Executive producer Eric Lewald told Entertainment Weeklythe show will release annually.
Beyond that no other Marvel TV shows have been announced, though the studio typically has anywhere from three to five live-action series in development.
