Popular creator recognition platform, Marvel of Tomorrow (MOT), concluded its fifth season, themed “Back to the Origin”, with a grand ceremony at the United Convention Centre (UCC) in Dhaka on July 2

The event brought together creators, industry leaders, brands, media professionals, cultural figures and digital communities to celebrate the country’s growing creator economy

Presented by Meril and powered by X Force, this year’s edition honoured 25 outstanding creators while paying tribute to 13 legendary figures whose contributions helped shape Bangladesh’s television, theatre, music, dance and entertainment industries during the 1990s and early 2000s

Speaking about the theme, Breity Sabrin, Co-Founder and CEO of The Marvel Be You, said, “Back to the Origin was born from our desire to reconnect today’s generation with the legends who laid the foundation of Bangladesh’s entertainment industry. While creators are shaping the future through digital platforms, their journey is rooted in the creativity, storytelling and cultural excellence of the 90s. Through this season, we wanted to celebrate that legacy while inspiring the next generation to honour where it all began.”

The evening began with an exclusive red-carpet and experience zone, followed by an opening theatrical performance. The programme featured the Season 5 award presentation ceremony, a special tribute segment honouring entertainment veterans, a magic performance and a live musical showcase that brought together celebrated artists from the 1990s and contemporary performers

Hosted by Amin Hannan and Rafsan Sabab, the ceremony recognised creators across 25 categories

The winners were Dako Keno (Content Creator – Entertainment), Shanaya Shahnaz (Fashion Vlog), Metro Man (Food Vlog), Mahim Makes (Cooking), Sail with MARUF (Infotainment), Kashtia Arfa (Auto Review), Syed Abid Hussain Sami (On Field) (Sports Review), Doggo Sage (Pet Welfare), Xefer Rahman (Music), Rahat NRZ (Moto Review), Shamim Parvez (AFR Technologies) (Tech Review), Md Fizz (Travel), Altaf Uddin Akromi (Shompod) (Aspiring Creator), Faria Newaz (Brand Promoter), Tashdid Ashrar (Stand-Up Comedy), Magic Razik (Magic), Tanha Sheikh (Fashion Design), Sujana the Unstoppable (Inspiring Children), Scandalous with Sameerscane (Podcast), Anirban Kaiser (Creative Content Production), PC Helpline Bangladesh (Community Engagement), Masud Rana (Holistic Wellbeing), Gaming with Talha (Gaming), Aura Being Aura (Dance), and Shah Rafayat Chowdhury, Co-founder and President of Footsteps Bangladesh, who received the Social Welfare (Critics Award).

One of the evening’s most emotional moments was a tribute to Kha Ma Harun, Dilara Zaman, Azizul Hakim, Rosey Siddiqui, Shahidul Zaman Selim, Richi Solaiman, Munira Yousuf Memi, Shibli Mohammad, Shamim Ara Nipa, Sadia Islam Mou, Jewel Aich, Mehreen Mahmud and Ferdous Wahid. Their contributions to Bangladesh’s television, theatre, dance, music and cultural landscape were celebrated through special recognitions and nostalgic performances

Marvel of Tomorrow Season 5 was presented by Meril and powered by X Force. SMC Plus joined as the Hydration Partner and In Association Partner, while BYD served as the Automobile Partner.
