Anyone who knows me knows that the one frustration I come back to in <a href="https://comicvibe.com/report-splitgate-dev-1047-games-lays-off-staff/” title=”Report: Splitgate dev 1047 games lays off staff”>games, above all else, more than yellow paint, quest markers and horrendously written dialogue, is that there just isn’t enough cow breeding. Where is it? The video game industry is sorely lacking in that department, but fear not fellow freaks, Manor Lords has our back, as by the end of the month you’ll be able to breed your cattle to your hearts’ content.

This is coming as part of a beta update due out by the end of the month which I should make clear is not entirely about cow procreating. Aside from the bovine porking that you can conduct, you’ll also be able to import them, with the milk manufacturers all living on pastures where livestock farm workers (previously called sheep farm workers) can collect their creamy bounty. You can also kill them to get beef! As an addendum to this, pastures will now cost plans and don’t just pop up now, with construction costs scaling based on their size. And to top it off, there’s a new type of artisan: the humble cheesemonger. No guesses for what they do.

There’s a few more bits that’ll be coming with this update too. For one, structures have now been categorised into two types, basic and advanced. In the case of the latter, you’ll need to hire skilled builders found at the new construction yard. Doing so for basic structures will result in faster construction speeds too. Construction sites should also feel a bit more lively, as because advanced structures take longer to build you’ll see workers doing things like shifting water from nearby wells, with different stages of the process featuring bits like scaffolding and cranes.

You can now grow oats as a new crop too, useful for feeding your families, or turning into the newly added in animal feed. Make sure you do feed them too, otherwise they’ll starve in winter! It’ll also be possible to set the assignment per season in every workplace. Lastly, there’s a new map called Wide Valley which has a couple of lovely looking rivers. Just don’t forget that the cow breeding is the important bit here.
