La. (WAFB) – A man who reportedly admitted to stealing his neighbor’s PlayStation is now in jail facing an attempted murder charge

Tyzerrian Castle, 24, was arrested on July 9, 2026, in connection with a shooting that happened in August 2025
According to an arrest report, Castle shot his neighbor eight times during a meetup to return the stolen console
The report states that Castle agreed to bring the PlayStation to a location in the 600 block of N. Ardenwood St
The meetup reportedly went south when a different man carrying a rifle approached the neighbor’s car. The neighbor stepped on the gas with Castle sitting in his passenger seat. The victim told detectives that it was at that moment Castle pointed a gun at him
After a tussle for the gun, Castle allegedly crawled out of the driver’s side door and started shooting at his neighbor, hitting him in his side, leg, and stomach
The neighbor drove to the closest family member’s house, who then called 911. Detectives interviewed family and the victim, who survived being shot multiple times
The neighbor was eventually able to pick Castle out of a lineup, leading to his arrest. Castle is facing multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, illegal use of a weapon, and aggravated criminal damage to property

Police have not released any information about the reported man who was said to have pointed a rifle at the victim. No other arrests have been made at this time
