MADISON, Wis. — Brewers fans packed the parking lot and American Family Field for a World Series weekend 44 years in the making.
As the series moves to Tampa, Madison businesses are keeping the celebration going.
Working Draft Beer Company is hosting watch parties for every game, hoping to bring fans of the Brew Crew together in a shared space.
“It’s so fun to see all the sweatshirts, all the jerseys, strangers high fiving after a home run,” said Ben Feifarek, co-owner of Working Draft.
Each Brewers home run brings another celebration at the brewery: free blue and yellow Jell-O shots. Feifarek said the brewery handed out about 50 after Saturday’s homer.
Feifarek also added that the World Series has brought in new customers and kept people at the brewery longer, prompting more staffing and later nights.
With Games 3 and 4 on the road, American Family Field will reopen for sold-out watch parties on Monday and Tuesday. The Madison brewery plans to keep its screens on and host fans throughout the series.
