Whether you’re a comedy nerd, a thrill seeker, a sports fanatic or a drama lover, you’ve probably noticed one recurring star that keeps popping up on Netflix: Los Angeles.
Since 2018, more than300 Netflix productionshave filmed primarily in Los Angeles. In 2025 alone, over45 productionsrolled cameras across the greater Los Angeles area. Last year, we worked with more than2.9K distinct Los Angeles County-based businesses— including equipment houses, caterers, post-production shops, and more — whose work contributed over$400Mto the local economy.
And 2026 is showing no signs of slowing down. So far this year, we have more than45 productionsconfirmed to primarily film in Los Angeles (not accounting for additional productions that will be added in the next five months). While others are pulling back, we’re investing more — and keeping the city’s creative economy working on stories that travel the globe.
Some of our biggest returning titles don’t just film here — fan favorites likeNobody Wants This,ForeverandThe Lincoln Lawyermake Los Angeles a character, weaving the city’s iconic locations, local neighborhoods and beloved restaurants directly into the storytelling. One of our newest dramas, the Los Angeles-setNemesis,continues that tradition, filming at more than60 locationsacross the city, including Christ the King Church, the Downtown LAPD headquarters, Helen Bernstein High School, Hollywood Elementary School, Ladera Park, Los Angeles City Hall, Moonlark’s Dinette, Saffy’s Place and St. Vincent Hospital. The series, which wasrecently renewed for Season 2after spending five weeks on the Global Top 10 TV list, employed nearly580 local vendorsduring its84-day shoot.
Films likeThe Rip,Ben Affleck’s upcomingAnimalsandDavid Fincher’s latestcapture Los Angeles’ texture and cinematic beauty, both past and present.The Rip, which spent 7 weeks on the Global Top 10 English Film list, filmed at22 locationsacross the city, including Harbor City, Long Beach and LA Center Studios in Downtown.

At the same time, the city’s topographical variety and infrastructure allow us to tell stories set all over the country, likeLeanneand theMonsteranthology, without ever leaving town. WhileThe Hawktees off in Pensacola, Florida, the Will Ferrell comedy actually filmed primarily on location around Los Angeles over67 daysand hired over320 local vendors. The series, which has been on the Global Top 10 English TV list for three weeks, featured more than40 locationsincluding famous fairways like Friendly Hills Country Club, Moorpark Country Club, Pelican Hill Golf Course, Rolling Hills Country Club, Sand Canyon Country Club, Spanish Hills Golf Course and Woodland Hills Country Club, alongside the Four Seasons Westlake VIllage, the LA Athletic Club, King Buffet, the Marina Del Rey Hotel, Northridge Fashion Center, Pacific Palms Resort and the W Hotel in Hollywood. (You may have also seen The Hawk hanging around — or should we say in — one of the city’s most iconic restaurants.)
Los Angeles is an incredibly important place for film and television production, and we’re committed to keeping it one of our core production hubs in the US — supporting the city and the creative community that makes it such a vibrant place to work. With its diverse locations, deep bench of talent, experienced crews, best-in-class vendors and a wide variety of locations, the city offers everything we need to bring ambitious stories to life.
