The day is finally here. Tonight, Disney is hosting its two-hour “Entertainment Showcase” at D23 2026, and io9 will be there in the room. It promises to bring a slew of updates on everything in the wide world of Disney. Will there be new Avengers: Doomsday footage? Is the X-Men cast on hand? Are they ready to announce what’s coming from the future of Star Wars? The answers to all those questions and more are coming live from Anaheim, CA, right about now.

Paul Bettany and James Spader are here. Feige describes it as the third in a trilogy: WandaVision, Agatha All Alongand now, Vision Quest.
What, and perhaps who, is Vision? asks Bettany. So, of course, he turns to Ultron. And now the trailer.

Jon Favreau Is Here
And he actaully got cheered! (Sorry Jon, love you, not Mando and Grogu.)
He’s announcing the 3-part Oswald miniseries coming to Disney+ in February 2027. It’s all hand-drawn 2D animation, lots of which is done by older Disney animators as well as new ones.
He showed a brief teaser of the character causing havoc in Walt’s office. It didn’t LOOK 2D but we’ll see.
From there, he spoke about his new National Geographic project, Lion.

Pixar’s New Original Film: ‘Ghost Market’
In Spring 2028, Pixar will release another original film called Ghost Market. In the clip, we saw a young content creator from Chicago who is forced to go to Hawaii on vacation with his mom. There, he stumbles upon an isolated market and realizes that it’s haunted.
We then saw a scene shot horizontally, like he’s on his phone, talking about the movie. “It’s good, you’ll like it” he said before being chased by a haunted bowl of ramen.
That comes after the next original film, Gatto, which screened an exclusive longer clip.

‘Incredibles 3’ and ‘Coco 2’ Updates
The head of Pixar, Pete Docter, just hit the stage to talk about two highly anticipated sequels: Incredibles 3 and Coco 2, out Summer 2028 and November 2029 respectively.
Docter revealed thatIncredibles 3 will focus heavily on the Incredible kids Violet, Dash, and Jack Jack.
ForCoco 2, we learned that it takes place a few years later. Miguel is now a teenager and will travel back to the Land of the Dead to team up with Ernesto for another adventure. Lee Unkrich returns to direct.

Homer Catches a Homer
We just saw a first clip from The New Simpsons Movie (which seems like the official title?)
Homer is at the Isotopes game and wants to catch a historic home run that will make him rich. “Make Homer rich,” he chants. The batter hits one towards Homer but Hans Moleman catches it. Then Homer jumps on him. The ball then pops out and basically makes it through all of Springfield, hitting every character and landmark before landing right back at the stadium. Bart gets it. “D’oh.”
Now into Pixar.

Yeah yeah, get to the movies and TV, Josh!

Things Are Underway
After a long and, frankly, kind of painful preshow, it’s starting. 25 minutes late. The lights have gone down, and the presentation has begun.
As an overview for the next few hours, there is certainly a lot of content coming that isn’t strictly io9. We’ll keep a run of show going and then focus in on the stuff you care most about.

Standby…
It’s after 7 p.m. PST, and things haven’t started yet.

Almost There…
Fifteen minutes and counting…
The arena is filling up but there are also a lot of people in line for food and merch. It is, after all, in a hockey arena.
