Lisa Rinnahas done plenty of reality TV over the years. Still, two popular shows will never make her list. The actress recently made that clear while discussing her future on television. She also wants fans to know that her reality TV days are far from over.
Lisa Rinna rules out two major reality shows for her future
Rinna spoke exclusively with PEOPLEat the Television Academy’s 2026 Televerse Festival in Los Angeles last month. The 63-year-old actress said she will not compete on Survivor or enter the Celebrity Big Brother house. “No Survivor and no Big Brother, none of that. No, no,” Rinna said, joking, “We’re couture.” She made it clear that neither show fits her plans.
Rinna has built a long reality TV resume, from Dancing with the Stars to The Traitors. She competed on season 2 of DWTS in 2006, then filmed Harry Loves Lisa with husband Harry Hamlin and daughters Delilah and Amelia in 2010. She joined The Apprentice in 2011 and The Celebrity Apprentice in 2014 before starting her eight-season run on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that year. More recently, she appeared in season 4 of The Traitors.
Rinna still wants to find her next TV project, even after ruling out Survivor and Celebrity Big Brother. “I’ve pretty much done them all, and the ones that I shouldn’t do, I’ve passed on,” she told the outlet. “The thing is, I need to be on television, so we need to find me a show,” she added. “So hurry up, so hurry up.”
Rinna has especially fond memories of DWTS, which she called “life-changing” and “the greatest thing I’ve ever done.” She said the show helped her get her “mojo back” after welcoming Amelia and “freed” her while boosting her confidence. In March 2024, she told The Jennifer Hudson Show that RHOBH “made me a better actor,” and said those eight years helped her prepare for Mommy Meanest by exposing her to the “different psychologies of different women.” Even so, she will not return to RHOBH, saying, “I’ll never go back. Nope, I did it.”
