If you weren’t already overwhelmed with the amount of new games dropping as of late, Nintendo is adding to the pile with the just-launched Nintendo Switch Sports Resort.
We already saw a Wii Sports revival with the original Nintendo Switch Sports. While it sold well, some fans had different issues with the game, which have seemingly been addressed with this title. You’re getting more sports, a return to Wuhu island, expanded single-player content, and more.
For those who picked up Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, what are your thoughts thus far? If you haven’t, do you intend to grab it in the future? Let us know in the comments.
Highlights from last week’s topic: What would you like to see from Nintendo Switch Online?
Tetris 99 is the best thing NSO has done, so my wish is more of that: old puzzle classics turned into live competitive formats. It’s the same path the Rubik’s Cube took. Around 200 million were sold between 1980 and 1983, the first official World Championship in Budapest in 1982 was won in 22.95 seconds, and then demand collapsed. It only came back when people started sharing solving methods online in the late ’90s; the WCA followed in 2004 and now runs competitions in over a hundred countries. A good puzzle plus a competitive scene keeps a retro game alive for decades.
I Want to have owned games added to the game lists. Let me buy these titles (like wii ware did and import games like megaman and ducktales to the NES section if I already have the paid versions.
I constantly see people asking for DS, Wii and 3DS games to join. That will be cool, when they eventually come, but I’d rather have other systems first. Master System and GameGear are nowhere to be seen. And it would be even better with Brazilian exclusive games such as Street Fighter 2 for the MS.
What about the PC Engine? That would be extra nice for historical purposes.
They could add Game&Watch as a novelty.
And what about e-reader games and other uses for it? Heck… They could release that thing again, with wireless conectivity and packs of cards and people would buy them (a lot). Even more so if there are pokémon cards involved.
When DS and Wii eventually come, I hope we also get DSiWare and WiiWare games. And the menu system could be specially designed for them to reflect the OG OSs.
3ds Games please. There are so many incredible games on 3ds that it would be incredible to have a way to play them on my Switch instead of digging my (beloved) 3ds out. The resolution of the 3ds screen is so awful now so having the games sharpened slightly would be great too.
The other thing that I would love is some kind of extension of the DK Challenge that was done earlier in the year. Challenges for various franchises with collectible cards and user icons as prizes would be really awesome.
Zelda 40 Swords, a multiplayer Zelda game.
Wii Classics.
DS Classics.
3DS Classics.
Being able to play GBA games in multiplayer just on one Switch, with split-screen, instead of multiple Switches only.
One thing that I was expecting from Nintendo Switch Online was that it would give us acess to more DLCs like on Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon 2. Another thing would be more of the paid Switch 2 editions being available as part of the NSO.
