TL;DR: Lenovo’s Legion C700 is a thin, 556 g, 14.9 mm Android handheld focused on local game streaming latency as low as 10 ms (with a 1080p/120Hz RTX 4060 laptop), a 7.82-inch 120Hz IPS screen, Hall-effect triggers, and Tencent START support.

Lenovo has shared new details about its upcoming Legion C700 gaming handheld. The pitch is a thin, lightweight device built specifically for game streaming rather than powerful onboard silicon. A new teaser confirms the C700 will ship with a dedicated USB streaming dongle and companion PC software, promising local streaming latency as low as 10ms.
That 10ms figure comes from lab testing using a Legion Y9000P laptop with an RTX 4060 running at 1080p and 120Hz. Real-world results will depend on the strength of the local network and the host PC, but the setup is designed to feel close to native play. The dongle enables one-click streaming from a connected Windows PC, and Lenovo says the handheld can stream locally stored games even in an offline environment when paired with the host machine.
The C700 is not a Windows handheld. It is expected to ship running Android, making it more comparable to the Logitech G Cloud than the Legion Go series. Lenovo has partnered with Tencent’s START cloud gaming service for the device, which gives it access to a broad library of streamed titles.

However, Tencent START operates primarily in mainland China, and Lenovo’s marketing has been focused on Chinese social media, suggesting the C700 may remain a regional product rather than a wide global release.
What Lenovo has confirmed is a very light form factor. At 556 grams and 14.9mm thin, the C700 would be lighter than both the Legion Go S and the ROG Ally X. A 7.82-inch 120Hz IPS display and TMR joysticks with Hall-effect triggers have also been referenced in earlier teaser material.

The C700 also arrives at a time when cloud gaming is receiving renewed attention. Amazon Gaming CEO Jeffrey Gattis recently argued that increasingly expensive gaming hardware could make cloud gaming a more attractive option for players, particularly if next-generation consoles approach the rumored $1,000 mark.
