‘Lanterns’: Every Easter Egg in Episode 2

Did you notice that the title screen of the second episode of Lanterns looks more yellow than green? We’re starting to wonder: Are we going to see that logo evolve over the course of the season? And beyond that: Is that a clue that other Lanterns besides the Green Lanterns are going to appear on the show? After all, there are Lanterns of every color in the rainbow in DC Comics, including the Yellow Lanterns of the Sinestro Corps. They are traditionally the sworn enemies of the Green Lanterns — and Episode 2 of Lanterns also introduces their founder and leader, Sinestro.

That’s just one of the many DC Comics references, Easter eggs, and hidden details you might have missed in Lanterns Episode 2, “Trust Fall.” In our latest DC video, we’ll break them all down for you, including co-creator Tom King’s comments about why Hal was missing his ring at the end of Episode 1 (and who has it now), the one power that makes John Stewart one of the most powerful Green Lanterns, and the meaning of that final scene featuring Hal Jordan and Sinestro.
