Kelly Osbourne is looking back at the moments that followed her father’s passing.

More than a year after Ozzy Osbourne’s death, the Fashion Police alum—whom he shared with wife Sharon Osbourne—offered a glimpse into how their family honored the patriarch in the days following his passing.

“We didn’t put my dad in any sort of morgue,” Kelly told Hello! In an interview published Aug. 31. “He came straight home and we got to spend a few days with him and mourn with him and make sure that everything was the way we wanted it to be.”

But in the early stages of her family’s grief, it was the Black Sabbath alum’s fans who lifted them up in their time of need.

“It saved us,” Kelly, 41, explained. “Every note, every flower, every gift that was sent to us—we received, we read, we acknowledged, and the people we could find the time to write back to and thank, we did. It showed us that they loved him as much as we loved them. Because he really did.”

And the support they received on their home soil made Kelly—mom to 3-year-old son Sidney with ex-fiancé Sid Wilson—especially proud of her dad’s roots.

“I’m so proud that half of me is from a city like Birmingham,” she said. “They’re salt-of-the-earth, working-class heroes who say it as it is. They’re incredible people, and I don’t think Birmingham gets enough credit.”

But even with an entire city to lean on, the reality star admitted her mental and physical health took a toll after Ozzy’s death.

“I didn’t navigate it—I wasn’t well,” she said. “How can you navigate something so cruel when you’re so sick? I’m getting a lot better. I’ve got all the help I need and I’m grateful for the support I have in my life.”

Ozzy—also dad to kids Elliot Kingsley, 60, Jessica Osbourne, 54, and Louis Osbourne, 51, with ex-wife Thelma Riley as well as Aimee Osbourne, 42, and Jack Osbourne, 39, with Sharon—died in July 2025 at age 76 from a fatal heart attack.

And more than a year later, Kelly is certain that his passing has fundamentally changed her.

“I’ll never be the person I was before my father died,” she said. “A part of me died, too. Everything is different. I’m different. Everything has changed, but it’s just taking it one day at a time and putting the pieces back together in a way that you think will work.”

But even as she navigates her grief, she’s committed to keeping her father’s legacy alive.

“[Ozzy] will always be that little boy from Aston,” she said. “You know, he never realized the icon that he truly will be forever. There was no one like him, and there never will be again.”

Keep reading for all the stars who paid tribute to Ozzy after his death…
