Kagurabachi Chapter 132 is finally here, and we are finally introduced to Ibuki Misaka. This character is part of the flashback which involves Kunishige Rokuhira and Siba. The story also takes time to reveal more about the swordsmen who are deemed worthy to wield the Enchanted Blades. Interestingly, this chapter also focused on setting up the foundation for an upcoming encounter between Misaka and Shiba, and it looks to be interesting.
The chapter started with the flashback sequence where Kunishige and Shiba were discussing different types of swordsmen who were capable enough to wield Enchanted Blades. In Kagurabachi Chapter 132, Kunishige makes it clear that the selected one needs to have a strong conviction and also be a master at swordsmanship. These qualities are to be heavily considered to be present in a person if they need to be selected to use this weapon.
During their conversation, they bring up names of some extremely powerful figures and another mysterious female swordsman. Now both of them are confirmed to be exceptional at wielding swords. Even Shiba is shown to be reflecting on those people who have purchased swords by Kunishige.
Them having this conversation in Kagurabachi Chapter 132 has added to the emotional layer of this flashback. Because it might be hinting towards a potential character who might be greater than anyone previously known. Soon, Kunishige reveals that there is another person they could approach.
Then we see a younger version of Samura, and it looks like he has a reputation as the mysterious swordsman he found. This man is associated with Kitakyushu and has a distinctive tattoo around his eye. Turns out that the person is eventually revealed to be Ibuki Misaka, giving readers important context for why Kunishige considered him a potential candidate.
Ibuki Misaka makes his entrance
Then, in Kagurabachi Chapter 132, it comes back to the time when Shiba is traveling to fulfil his friend’s mission. He soon learns that Misaka has a bad reputation and is known to be notorious throughout the city. However, his reputation is more complicated than that of an average delinquent.
It has been revealed that he is the one who is responsible for many bizarre incidents that also involve sorcery. There have been news reports that also show us how civilians have been getting more frustrated with his behavior. While there are also a handful of people who are treating him like a local legend.
The Sorcery Bureau inKagurabachi Chapter 132 sees Misaka as an enemy. His case has repeatedly been pushed aside because the organization is already dealing with major crises involving the Mikaboshi, the Enchanted Blades, and other sorcery-related threats.
Shiba is already too close in Kagurabachi Chapter 132
The Sorcery Bureau eventually contacts Shiba and warns him to stay away from Misaka. The organization has apparently decided that it will handle the situation itself and does not want Shiba making contact. There is just one problem: Shiba has already encountered Misaka. The chapter ends with Shiba standing face-to-face with the infamous swordsman, seemingly amused by the situation.
This creates an exciting setup for the next chapter, and overall, Kagurabachi Chapter 132 works primarily as a character introduction and setup chapter. Misaka’s reputation, mysterious sorcery, connection to Samura, and potential as a swordsman all make him one of the most intriguing new figures in the current storyline.
