The Just Like Mona Lisa (JP: 性別「モナリザ」の君へ。, Seibetsu Mona Lisa no Kimi he) TV anime has unveiled its teaser trailer, main cast, and key staff members.

Nobuhiro Sugiyama, whose credits include Nisekoi and March Comes in Like a Lion, will serve as character designer and chief <a href="https://comicvibe.com/hulu-animayhem-adult-<a href="https://comicvibe.com/hulu-animayhem-adult-animation-crossovers/” title=”Hulu Animayhem: Adult Animation Crossovers”>animation-crossovers/” title=”Hulu Animayhem: Adult Animation Crossovers”>animation director. Yuki Hayashi, known for My Hero Academia and Medalist, will compose the soundtrack.
Just Like Mona Lisa is set in a world where people begin physically changing toward their desired gender at around age 12 and become either male or female by age 14.
The coming of age ensemble drama follows Hinase, the only person who remains genderless at age 18, as they confront questions about their identity, their way of living, and romantic love.
Anzai plays Hinase Arima, a third year high school student who reaches the age of 18 without developing a gender, unlike everyone around them.
“I will never forget how stunned I was when I first encountered this story at the audition,” Anzai commented. “It made me think deeply not only about Hinase, but also about myself and about humanity. The story stayed with me constantly, so I feel honored to be involved as Hinase, and I also feel the weight of the responsibility.”
She continued, “The story features many extremely difficult roles and deals with complex subject matter. We are approaching each recording session carefully and sincerely, working with Director Shundo, the production team, and the cast to determine the best way to express it.”
