JioHotstar is going global. JioStar has announced the launch of its streaming service JioHotstar in the UK, Canada and Singapore, where it will replace the existing Hotstar service.
The new service will bring JioHotstar’s entertainment catalogue to these markets, along with new ways to “discover, watch and engage” with content. It will offer more than 160,000 hours of entertainment across 12+ languages and multiple genres, along with “personalised recommendations, interactive features, flexible subscription options and a delightful product experience.”
The platform will bring Indian entertainment to a single destination, covering television, films, regional programming, non-fiction, kids and anime content. JioStar is also launching the platform with a new slate of originals, including Ali Baba Aur Chaalis Bhoot, Prince of Mollywood, Part Timers and The Court. The service will also feature new movie premieres throughout the year.

The reality TV franchise Bigg Boss will return across six languages. For the first time, viewers in Singapore, Canada and the UK will be able to cast live votes throughout each edition of the show.
The platform will also offer content from JioStar’s television channels, including Star Plus, Colors, Star Vijay, Asianet, Star Jalsha and Star Pravah.
JioHotstar Subscription Plans and Pricing
JioHotstar is introducing quarterly subscription plans in all three markets, alongside annual plans. The updated pricing is effective from September 2, 2026. Here are the subscription options for the three markets:
