Twenty five years ago, Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos introduced readers to Jessica Jones, Marvel’s tough-as-nails private investigator with a complicated super hero past, in the groundbreaking ALIAS (2001) series. Now, for their character’s milestone 25th anniversary, the acclaimed creative team reunite to send Jessica on her strangest case yet inJESSICA JONES: ALIAS, a five-issue limited series launching this December. Renowned original series cover artist David Mack also returns to grace the series with his gorgeous painted artwork.

Announced earlier today at EW, JESSICA JONES: ALIAS follows the breakout character as she tackles a case unlike any she’s tackled before, one that pulls her far beyond her stomping ground in Hell’s Kitchen. After a tumultuous tenure as First Lady of New York, Jessica is looking to get back to basics — but Marvel’s premier P.I. rarely gets what she wants! When a simple abduction case drags her to the most obscure and bizarre corners of the Marvel Universe, Jessica finds herself tested like never before!

“Jessica has, since her debut, been something very different in my life,” Bendis told EW. “There’s something very emotional and intimate about the way [people] talk about her. It’s always been the best kind of conversation you could ever hope to have with readers. People see themselves in her and love her and root for her. All of that is in this series.”

Check out David Mack’s first cover along with a sneak peek at Gaydos’ interior artwork and pre-order JESSICA JONES: ALIAS at your local comic shop today!
